Setup the server to be able to process data from a network device that is captured via an SNMP trap. A trap could be setup with FluentD as an input, and the output could be a HTTP POST to the Server Component.

Feature Ideas

  • obtain which addrress' are DHCP
  • obtain from DHCP which address' are in use and by which device
  • obtain which host has an IP and it's MAC address
  • read port details (switch/router) to obtain address details

Update:

  • 2024-02-26: fluentd snmp trap plugin is broken. another trap capture method will need to be investigated
